About BARQ Electric Bikes

BARQ, the Urdu and Arabic word for lightning and electricity, represents our commitment to electric mobility built specifically for Pakistan's roads, climate, and riders. We sell direct, through dealers, online, and to businesses and delivery fleets nationwide.

We didn't set out to build a cheaper alternative to a petrol bike. We set out to build a better one, a bike that happens to run on electricity instead of fuel, without asking riders to compromise on power, build quality, or the way it feels to own something well made.

Why we exist

Pakistan's two-wheeler market runs on petrol bikes that are cheap to buy and expensive to keep, rising fuel costs, frequent maintenance, and engines that were never designed for the heat, traffic, and daily grind of Pakistani roads. Electric bikes solve the running-cost problem, but most of what's available locally is either an unreliable budget import or priced far out of reach for the riders who'd benefit most.

BARQ was built to close that gap: premium electric bikes, engineered and finished properly, priced for the commuters, students, and small business owners who make up the backbone of Pakistan's roads.

What we build

Our lineup covers four tiers, each aimed at a different rider:

• Volt | Entry Level. A first electric bike done right: simple, reliable, and affordable, built for short city commutes.
• Storm | Mid Range. More range and better build quality for daily commuters covering 30–50 km a day without flagship pricing.
• Thunder | Premium. High performance and extended range for enthusiasts and longer routes, with premium finishing throughout.
• Elite | Flagship. The top of the BARQ lineup, maximum speed, the longest range, and the most premium components we make.

Every model is backed by a real warranty on the battery and parts, not fine print designed to expire before it's needed.

How we sell and support

We're not a single-showroom operation. BARQ bikes reach riders through:

• Our own showrooms starting with our head office in Peshawar, and now Lahore, Islamabad, and Quetta, with the network still growing.
• Authorized dealers for test rides, service, and in some cities, financing on the spot.
• Direct and online for riders who'd rather order and have a bike delivered than visit a showroom.
• Businesses and delivery fleets bulk and fleet arrangements for companies that need reliable electric mobility at scale, not just single-unit sales.

Financing isn't an afterthought either. We work with partner banks on installment plans with manageable down payments and flexible tenures, and we help riders navigate government electric-bike subsidy schemes where they apply because the biggest barrier to going electric in Pakistan usually isn't the bike, it's the upfront cost.

BARQ bikes are built and finished for Pakistani conditions specifically, the heat, the road surfaces, and the stop-start traffic, not adapted after the fact from a design meant for somewhere else. That's a deliberate choice, and it's one of the reasons we can back every bike with real local warranty support instead of shipping riders overseas problems with no local fix.
